Have you ever heard a story saying that they could not make themselves understood at all in the language they have learned for years when they actually chanced to talk to a foreigner in that language?

You will regrettably learn the language with the accent of your own if you learn the language by memorizing the written words. In addition, it is hard to understand even simple phrases of that language due to the big difference between your pronunciation and the foreigner’s.

In Speak Japanese Like Parrot, the words are pronounced with almost the same accent used by Japanese using the TEXT TO SPEECH function.
Please listen to the read words and pronounce as you think it is heard.
Then, Speak Japanese Like Parrot hears your pronounced words by its VOICE RECOGNITION function.
If the VOICE RECOGNITION recognizes the words you have pronounced and those the TEXT TO SPEECH has pronounced are the same, you will be judged to have pronounced the words successfully as Japanese pronounce them.

I got all A’s in English when I was at school, but I had many experiences of hardship in understanding such simple phrases by listening as “what is the (reservation) date?”, “you can pass through”, and “the price of the merchandise is 12 dollars” when I actually travelled in the countries of the English-speaking regions of the world. Then, developed the application software.

Likewise, does it suffice to say a simple phrase in the undertone in your daily life?
The experience showing that you could not understand what other people said and your pronunciation could not be understood reduces your motivation for continuing your study later on.
Don’t you think it’s great to understand the short phrases when foreigners said in the undertone and ask them back, “What does XX mean?”

When I started to study Portuguese after reflecting the experience when I could not make myself understood in English, I concentrated in watching Portuguese videos and tried to learn words and phrases after I had learned basic words.
Of course, I learned Portuguese from a teacher and studied grammar, too, later on.
The words you have learned by listening only is unsecure, and if you talk neglecting all the grammar, it would be shameful as an adult, isn’t it? (www)

As I said above, I think it is a most efficient and practical way "to learn a foreign language by listening and speaking first and then study the grammar" from my own experience.
So, this application software Speak Japanese Like Parrot is designed by its specification in which you listen to the voice and pronounce after it, and the meaning is displayed after the pronunciation is applicable.
Please enjoy studying the Japanese language from now on!
